Project Overview
LokaLive is a mobile-first product concept designed to connect communities through local events and shared experiences. Research revealed that people often feel overwhelmed by generic listings, fragmented platforms, and unclear value when deciding whether an event is “worth their time.” The goal was to help users quickly find events that match their interests, availability, and social context—while lowering the barrier to participation. The product needed to support fast decision-making, build trust, and encourage both first-time engagement and repeat use.
Scope of Work
The project covered product definition, UX architecture, and interface design:
User Research & Personas: Identified key jobs-to-be-done such as effortless discovery of nearby events, understanding social value at a glance, and making quick go/no-go decisions.
Product Strategy & Feature Definition: Prioritized relevance over volume, defining an MVP focused on discovery, trust, and ease of use. Feature trade-offs were made intentionally to avoid cognitive overload.
UX Architecture & Flows: Designed filters and event detail pages to surface decision-critical information early. User flows were optimized for speed, clarity, and a strong first-time user experience.
UI System & Visual Language: Developed a bold yet functional UI system that ensures accessibility, consistency, and clarity across key touchpoints.

Outcome
LokaLive translates digital discovery into meaningful real-world experiences. By aligning user needs, business goals, and product constraints, the concept demonstrates how thoughtful product strategy and UX design can turn event discovery into a focused, intuitive, and socially engaging experience.
